The national standard GB/T 8484-2020 "Test Method for Thermal Insulation Performance of Building Exterior Doors and Windows" revised by China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. and centralized by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Building Curtain Wall Doors and Windows was released on April 28, 2020 and implemented on March 1, 2021.

GB/T 8484-2020 "Test Method for Thermal Insulation Performance of Building Exterior Doors and Windows" Replaces GB/T 8484-2008 "Classification and Test Method for Thermal Insulation Performance of Building Exterior Doors and Windows". Compared with GB/T 8484-2008, Main Technical Changes are as follows :

1. Add the term "insulation performance of doors and windows" (see 3.1);

2, delete the terms "total hemispherical emissivity" and "glass door"; (see 3.4 and 3.6 of 2008 edition);

3, delete the insulation performance classification (see chapter 4 of 2008 edition);

4. The detection principle is modified. The calculation of heat transfer coefficient K value takes into account the heat loss of the sample and the edge of the filling plate (see Chapter 4,2008 Edition 5.1)

5. The detection device is modified and the hot box is added with a deflector (see Chapter 5, 2008 Edition 5.2);

6, modified the data processing, added the edge line heat transfer in the calculation formula (see 7.4,2008 version of the 5.10);

7, added the normative appendix "edge line heat transfer coefficient value" (see appendix c);
